How to Remove Explicit Tracks in Spotify Playlists Before Importing?
When importing playlists from Spotify into Audalize, you can choose whether to include or exclude explicit tracks during the import process.
Our Spotify matching process has an incredibly high match rate, typically between 95% and 96%, allowing you to quickly transfer your playlists into Audalize while keeping control over the type of content played at your venue.
Excluding Explicit Tracks During Spotify Import
When importing a Spotify playlist into Audalize:
- Select the Spotify playlist(s) you would like to import.
- Before starting the import, use the Include Explicit Tracks checkbox to choose whether explicit songs should be included.
- Untick the option if you would like to exclude explicit tracks from your imported playlist.
- Continue with the import process.
Audalize will automatically filter out explicit tracks based on your selection.
Optional: Remove Explicit Tracks Directly in Spotify
You can also update your Spotify settings to hide explicit content before managing your playlists.
On Desktop:
- Open Spotify.
- Click your profile icon in the top right corner.
- Select Settings.
- Find Explicit Content and turn off Allow Playback of Explicit Content.
On Mobile:
- Open Spotify.
- Tap Home.
- Tap Settings (gear icon).
- Select Explicit Content.
- Turn off explicit content.
Explicit tracks will then appear greyed out and will not play in Spotify.
Once your preferences are set, you can import your playlist into Audalize with the appropriate explicit content settings selected.
